USETPA Selects ACP as a National Vendor for Technology Goods and Services

The US Educational Technology Purchasing Alliance (USETPA), a non-profit purchasing organization based in Pittsboro, NC, is excited to announce that Arlington Computer Products (ACP) of Buffalo Grove, IL, was approved as a national vendor for technology goods and services.  The Master Convenience Contract enables USETPA users and subscribers to purchase products manufactured by Mitel, Cisco, HP, Juniper, Aerohive, Xirrus, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Samsung, Microsoft, Barracuda and others, as listed on the USETPA website (www.usetpa.org), through ACP as an approved channel partner.

The USETPA convenience contract allows schools, libraries, and government agencies to purchase technology products at a discounted price and ensure that goods and services have been competitively bid.  Formal subscribers to the USETPA are also eligible to use the USETPA Form 470 and streamline the E-Rate funding process.  This award gives the users of the USETPA contract access to the high level of expertise offered by Arlington Computer Products.

“The USETPA is pleased to welcome ACP as an approved national vendor for technology goods and services”, says Landon Scism, Managing Director of USETPA. “Users and subscribers to our contract are constantly looking for ways to purchase more efficiently and to partner with vendors who can provide excellent service.  We feel that our users will benefit from the high level of expertise offered by ACP staff as well as their commitment to providing great pricing to schools and government entities.  We look forward to working with them in the years to come”.

“ACP is very excited about being selected as an approved national vendor for USETPA.”, said Tom Turkot, Vice President Client Solutions for ACP.  “This partnership allows ACP to leverage our over 30 years of experience in technology procurement to a much larger pool of schools, libraries and local government agencies.  We will also be leveraging our key manufacturing relationships, as well as our broad services capabilities across these technology platforms.”, Turkot concluded.

ACP was selected by the USETPA as a national vendor following a highly competitive RFP process.  The RFP and award details may be found at the USETPA website (www.usetpa.org). The USETPA conducted this RFP on behalf of its subscribers in order to create Master Convenience Contracts.  These contracts are open to all schools, libraries and local government agencies as determined by individual state law.  The contract allows users to avoid conducting individual RFPs which can be time consuming and expensive.  It further ensures that all good or services are purchased at a discount.  The contracts also allow schools and libraries, who formally subscribe, to streamline the E-Rate process.

About USETPA
The US Educational Technology Purchasing Alliance was founded in North Carolina in association with several professional organizations to leverage the purchasing power of the state’s schools and libraries.  It was soon found that these contracts were even more powerful when expanded on a national scale.  The USETPA has since issued additional RFPs to address this need.  Additional information on the USETPA may be found at our website, http://www.usetpa.org or by contacting us via phone at 919.391.9558 or by mail at 68 Heartland Drive, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
